WITH A GRAIN OF SUGAR
© Michelle Krell Malone (ASCAP)

Wind dies down, it's dark around
The edges of the night
Up 'til dawn I watch the door
Waiting for the light
I hear the leaves, they swirl around, like
Bitter words we said,
If you'd only come back we could try again

With a grain of sugar, a grain of sugar
We could turn this all around
Yes it takes so little, just a tiny measure
Of the love we share
And life can be sweet again

Love should be the light we shine
To put us on the track
With just a bit of sweetness
We can put the pieces back
Ending all the doubt we have,
No more words to say

'Cause all we need is just a taste
Just a glance, a word, is all it takes
A little sweetness, carefully placed
If you'd only come back
If you'd only come back we could try again

With a grain of sugar, a grain of sugar
We could turn this all around
Yes it takes so little, just a tiny measure
Of the love we share
And life can be sweet again
Life can be sweet again
