Concrete Scrapbook was chosen as IndieShark Music's CATCH OF THE MONTH for July at Indieshark.com.

8:00 to 10:00 pm, Wednesday, at the M Bar, 1253 N. Vine Street, Hollywood, CA 90038 (in the Fountain & Vine Plaza). Doors open at 7:00 pm. I'll be doing a few songs at this Singer-Songwriter Night, a showcase of original music sponsored by Los Angeles Women in Music. More information on the LAWiM events page.

8:00 to 10:00 pm, Saturday. Save the Woodshed Fundraiser event at Kulak's Woodshed, 5230 1/2 Laurel Cyn. Blvd., North Hollywood, CA, 91607. Along with a line-up of other performers, I will be doing a few songs to benefit the venue. Not sure what time I'll be up yet. It's a comfortable place. Snacks, soft drinks, coffee, tea. Kulak's Woodshed.

Opera Cafe event in Westwood.  Sang 2 show tunes and 2 of my songs.  Such a joy to listen to singers cover a range of Opera and Broadway songs.  This event was hosted by Gale Oliver, mezzo-soprano. Accompanist was Greg Schreiner.

Played at the Benefit for Animal Match Rescue Team and Hearts for Hounds at The 212 Bistro on 4th Street in Long Beach, "Wine and Cheese and Chihuahuas."  Played a set of my songs and also accompanied comedian Robby Ravenwood, who was also MC for the evening.

N Magazine in Natomas, California, has published a nice profile of me in their November issue (pdf here).  Natomas is part of Sacramento near where I grew up, and has become a great arts community.  Be sure to keep watching this magazine for articles about the arts in this area.

Concrete Scrapbook released on K.D. Loose Records!

My new CD, Concrete Scrapbook, has finally been manufactured by Disc Replicators International here in Los Angeles.

On Sunday evening, March 28, the "Women on the Move" acoustic trio of Joan Enguita, Trish Lester, and Linda Geleris, performed my song, "With a Grain of Sugar", on the radio show FolkScene on KPFK 90.7 FM with host Roz Larman, playing several songs from the album Beautiful (on Red Coyote Records), and discussing how the album benefits women's shelters. I'm happy to be involved in this cause, and the trio is really getting the word out and raising funds with performances and album sales.

My lullaby "Sea of Happy Dreams" is on the soundtrack of the new independent film, "Boston Girls", written by and starring Camille Solari. The film premiered in Los Angeles at the New York International Film and Video Festival. Hope you get to see it sometime!

My album Concrete Scrapbook has been mastered. It features 10 of my songs and is produced and mixed by the talented Travis Allen at My Record Label. The musicians on all the tracks are based in Nashville and are part of the My Record Label team. In addition, the talented singer Bryon Holley created and sang the background vocals, with additional vocals by Teresa James, Amy Hofto, and Travis Allen. Harmonica was added on one track by Doctor Fun aka Herbie Katz, and the cello on another track is by Ginger Murphy, both are based in Los Angeles.
